    OUR MISSION

Our mission is be "Eco Guardians"

To protect natural ecosystems, promote sustainable resource use, and improve community wellbeing through environmentally friendly practices, clean water initiatives, and ecological restoration.

    Our partners and collaborators

    Rwamagana District

MECO’s first and foundational partner is the Government of Rwanda, through Rwamagana District, whose support will be  instrumental in bringing the Mugesera Tranquil Pathways initiative to life. This partnership ensures that our programs are aligned with national conservation policies while engaging the local community in meaningful, sustainable ways. Through close collaboration, the District provides guidance on ecological restoration, facilitates community mobilization, and supports monitoring of environmental activities. In turn, MECO implements on-the-ground projects—such as tree planting, clean water systems, climate-smart agriculture, and aquaculture programs—while training local residents to actively participate in managing and maintaining these initiatives. Together, this partnership creates a model of community-driven conservation, where government support and local action converge to protect ecosystems, enhance livelihoods, and foster a culture of environmental stewardship. By partnering with MECO, other stakeholders and donors can join this collaborative framework, ensuring that every contribution amplifies impact and directly benefits the people and nature of Karenge.

    Mucho Traders Ltd

Our second partner, Mucho Traders Ltd, a leading design company specializing in green construction, has generously contributed its expertise by providing the landscape design for Mugesera Tranquil Pathways free of charge. Their innovative design ensures that the space is not only environmentally sustainable but also aesthetically inspiring, creating a welcoming hub for community retreats, training programs, and eco-entrepreneurship initiatives.
